It’s several years since I’ve been able to get to the woods in April to see the bluebells. It’s one of the things I’ve missed, especially since moving to a more rural area, having moved hoping to be able to spend more time in the woods. If you have read my piece Things in Jars, in the Moving Mountains anthology, you will know I broke my ankle shortly after having Covid a couple of years ago and it has taken a long time to begin to recover from both. Being able to get to the woods, and in time to see the bluebells this year, has made me very happy. The wood anemones and wild garlic are also in abundance.
